Financing earmarked for emerging entrepreneurs within the context of previous disadvantaged groups seeking to start or expand medium sized businesses
 
  Sector identification • Enterprises involved in agro-industry, fishing, ICT, manufacturing,   mining, services, tourism, transport.  
  Eligibility • Viable start-up businesses
• Expansion of existing businesses
• Management buy-in into existing businesses
• Management buy-out (take-over) of existing businesses
• Namibian citizenship or permanent residence status
• Majority Namibian owned business
• Promoters with good track record
  Financing options • Subordinated debt/mezzanine financing
• 20% own contribution
• Current minimum of N$ 3 million
  Security Determined on a project by project basis.
  Repayment period Maximum 5 years (including grace period).
  Interest rate • Determined on a project by project basis.
• Interest may be capitalised during the grace period.
  Grace period • Tailored to the construction and ramp up of the project.
