Track Record

The Development Bank of Namibia was established by an Act of Parliament, and launched in April 2004. Initially capitalised by the Government of the Republic of Namibia, the Development Bank has shown consistent, sustainable growth. The Bank is open to equity participation by recognised financial and development institutions.

The Bank has developed a strong portfolio of projects spread across the private and public sectors. This includes projects of varying sizes, including a highly successful private public partnership in terms of which the Development Bank of Namibia provided financing to local commercial banks for financing and mentoring small and medium enterprises.
