SME Bridging Finance

Working capital for enterprises awarded tenders or contracts by well-established institutions to supply goods and services. This facility helps emerging entrepreneurs meet short-term cash flow demands and excludes financing for capital items.

Loan amounts Minimum N$ 150,000
Maximum N$ 3 million
Interest rate Determined on a project by project basis
Repayment period Maximum 18 months.
Grace period Tailored to match the specific tender or contract period as agreed between the institution awarding the tender, the Bank and the client.
Security Clients should provide acceptable security to the money borrowed. All assets financed by SDF are automatically used as security. In the absence of fixed assets, clients are required to pledge other property or appropriate alternative collateral.

  • Bridging Finance application form
  • Proof of contracts/tenders
  • List of pending agreements
  • Proof of contract with suppliers or clients
  • Financial projections (for duration of contract)
  • Historical financial statements for existing businesses (three years)
  • Most recent tax return
  • Company registration certificate
  • Other supporting documentation listed in application form.
