| DBN’s Special Development Fund (SDF) focuses on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in its selected support to key sustainable projects and programmes of developmental importance. Support can take the form of lines of credit managed by intermediate financial institutions like commercial banks, direct lending, and provision of working capital. |

Eligibility
SDF support is available to: |
 |
Namibian citizens or permanent residents
|
|
 |
| |
Previously Disadvantaged Persons in particular, as defined in the
Labour Act |
 |
 |
Businesses that adhere to the following criteria:
• registered in Namibia and that operate within the borders of the country;
• create and retain employment;
• demonstrate financial viability;
• engage in value addition;
• have a proven positive social and economic impact. |

Applicants must either be the owners or managers of the business or employ experienced managers to facilitate the business’ success. |
